What a dollar chart is good for
- 01
Sectors the NSE does not have
Semiconductors, large-cap software, global pharma and consumer names have no listed equivalent in Nairobi. The heatmap is the fastest way to see how those sectors moved today.
- 02
Currency is part of the return
These prices are in dollars. A position can rise in USD and still disappoint in shillings, or the reverse. Judge the result after conversion, never on the quoted move alone.
- 03
Then hold it in one picture
The planner stores global holdings in their native currency and converts at the boundary, so a US position sits in the same net worth statement as an NSE counter and a Treasury bond.
Put the dollar position in the same picture
Record the holding in the planner and it is converted at the boundary, then carried into cash flow, goals and retirement alongside everything else you own.
